Why do employees want to sue their boss?

When we hear about a company being sued by employees, the first thing that comes to mind is that it is about money. But, normally the top reason is not about money – it is about being treated unfairly. So, if we start with respecting employees and giving them a fair chance of success, how hard can this be in order to reduce the chance of being sued?
