The expression of “drinking the Kool-Aid” normally means blind acceptance to a person, cause, idea or plan for example. The “believers” will not question nor challenge what is being handed to them. So, whether in politics or corporate culture, non-believers are considered “haters” or “traitors.” Then, how do you know you are having a “dysfunctional” conversation or argument with someone who “drinks the Kool-Aid” and will it make a difference if the person is your boss, friend or family member?
