There are two types of denial – one which is fake and it is used to manipulate a situation and the other when it is real where a person is trying to cope with a difficult situation. In real terms, denial is a defense mechanism but it is not good if it prolongs the time to face its consequences so that someone can move on. So, at work, how do you differentiate between fake and real denial?
